k9wi (hereinafter "k9wi", "we", "us", "our") operates the online gaming information and betting platform accessible at https://k9wi.cam (the "Platform"). We are committed to protecting the personal data of all users, including users accessing the Platform from Pakistan and internationally.
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes in detail how k9wi collects, processes, stores, protects and discloses personal data in connection with the operation of the Platform. It applies to all users of the Platform, including registered account holders, visitors who have not registered, and individuals who communicate with k9wi via support channels.
This Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, which govern the use of the Platform generally. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the Terms & Conditions regarding personal data matters, this Policy shall prevail.
k9wi does not claim licensing or endorsement by the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) or any provincial authority. Nothing in this Policy constitutes legal advice. Users are advised to seek independent advice regarding their data protection rights under applicable law in their jurisdiction.
For the purposes of this Policy, the following definitions apply:
k9wi acts as the Data Controller in respect of personal data collected from users of the Platform. As Data Controller, k9wi determines the purposes for which personal data is processed and is responsible for implementing appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect that data.
Where k9wi engages third-party service providers to perform specific processing activities on its behalf (for example, payment processors, KYC verification providers or analytics platforms), those providers act as Data Processors under documented data processing agreements that require them to process data only in accordance with k9wi's instructions and applicable data protection law.
When you register an Account, complete KYC verification, make a deposit or withdrawal, contact support or interact with any part of the Platform, you provide personal data directly to k9wi. This includes identity data (such as full name, date of birth, CNIC or passport details for Pakistani users), contact data (email address, telephone number, residential address), financial data (payment method references) and communications content.
When you access the Platform, certain technical and activity data is collected automatically through cookies, log files and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, device and browser information, session activity, page navigation, login timestamps and Platform usage patterns. This data is used for security monitoring, fraud detection and Platform performance analytics.
k9wi may receive personal data from third-party identity verification providers during the KYC process, from payment processors in connection with deposit and withdrawal transactions, and from fraud and risk screening providers. Any such data is processed in accordance with this Policy and the applicable data processing agreement with the relevant third party.
k9wi processes biometric-adjacent data (selfie images and liveness checks) solely for the purpose of identity verification during KYC. This data is handled with heightened security controls and is retained only for the period necessary to satisfy AML and regulatory compliance obligations. k9wi does not process health data, religious belief data or political opinion data in connection with Platform operations.
k9wi processes personal data on the following lawful bases:
k9wi uses personal data for the following purposes:
k9wi shares personal data with trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf under documented data processing agreements. These include: identity verification and KYC providers, payment processing partners, fraud and risk management platforms, cloud infrastructure and data hosting providers, customer support technology providers, and analytics platforms. All processors are contractually required to implement appropriate data security measures and to process data only in accordance with k9wi's instructions.
k9wi may disclose personal data to competent authorities, courts, regulators or law enforcement agencies where required to do so by applicable law, valid legal process, court order or regulatory requirement. Where legally permissible, k9wi will notify the affected user of such disclosure.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of all or substantially all of k9wi's assets, personal data held on the Platform may be transferred to the successor entity as part of that transaction. Users will be notified of any such transfer and of any material change to this Policy that results from it.
k9wi does not sell, rent, lease or otherwise transfer personal data to third parties for their own commercial or marketing purposes. Data is shared only in the circumstances described in this Section 7.
8.1 k9wi may transfer personal data to service providers and infrastructure partners located outside the country in which it was collected, including outside of Pakistan. Such transfers are made in accordance with applicable data protection requirements, using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under the applicable regulatory framework.
8.2 By using the Platform, users acknowledge that their personal data may be transferred to, stored and processed in countries other than Pakistan. k9wi takes reasonable steps to ensure that all international transfers are subject to adequate data protection standards.
9.1 k9wi retains personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable legal, regulatory or contractual obligations. The following indicative retention periods apply:
9.2 On expiry of the applicable retention period, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised. Where deletion is not technically immediately feasible (for example, in backup systems), the data is isolated and protected from further processing until deletion can be completed.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function correctly and to provide information to the site operator. k9wi uses first-party cookies and may use third-party cookies from analytics or functional service providers.
You can manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality. Most browsers also allow you to view and delete cookies currently stored on your device.
Subject to applicable law and any legitimate regulatory retention requirements, you have the following rights in respect of your personal data held by k9wi:
You may request a copy of the personal data k9wi holds about you and information about how it is processed.
You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data held about you.
You may request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purposes collected and where no overriding legal obligation to retain it applies.
You may request that processing of your personal data be restricted in certain circumstances, for example while accuracy is contested.
Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you may request your data in a structured, commonly used machine-readable format.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for marketing purposes. Where you object to marketing, we will cease that processing immediately.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected] with your registered username and a clear description of your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Note that certain rights are subject to limitations — for example, data subject to mandatory AML or KYC retention obligations cannot be deleted until the applicable retention period has expired.
12.1 k9wi implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration or disclosure. These measures include HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis, regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments, and data processing agreements with all third-party processors.
12.2 Notwithstanding the above, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. k9wi cannot guarantee absolute data security. Users are also responsible for maintaining the security of their Account credentials and should enable two-factor authentication where available.
12.3 In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to users' rights and freedoms, k9wi will notify affected users without undue delay in accordance with applicable data protection law.
k9wi does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18 (or such higher minimum age as required by the applicable operator/license jurisdiction). The Platform is strictly for adults only. Where we discover that personal data has been collected from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete that data and close the associated Account.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a minor has registered an Account or submitted personal data to k9wi, please contact us immediately at [email protected] so that we may investigate and act accordingly.
The k9wi Platform may reference third-party services by name for informational context — for example, payment method names such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast, HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank and Bank Alfalah. These references are contextual only and do not constitute endorsement. k9wi does not control the data practices of third-party payment processors or other external services, and this Policy does not apply to their data processing activities. Users should review the privacy policies of any third-party service they use in connection with their Platform activity.
15.1 k9wi reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be notified to registered users via the registered email address and/or a prominent notice on the Platform, with a reasonable review period before the amended Policy takes effect.
15.2 Continued use of the Platform following the effective date of any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. The date of last update is shown at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically.
